About me

I’m a painter and visual artist from Helsinki, Finland.

To me, art is a language, a way of portraying that which exists beyond the realm of words. Art is a road to the subconscious, a channel for things we have known but forgotten, for things we’d rather not think about, for forbidden things, for all that is private but universally shared.

The beauty of the small and mundane can touch the strings of your soul. A colour, a brushstroke, a rhythm, a recognition. To see and to recognize is to be seen and to be recognized, and that is the true power of art.

At the moment, I’m inspired by small everyday details and compositions; remembered and imagined landscapes; and childhood memories and family ties.

My work is mostly figurative and always based on a visual observation. Painting is my true love and I mostly work with oil paint, acrylics and watercolours. Graphite drawing is my special comfort zone.

I started painting in 2018. I’ve studied two semesters at the Free Art School in Helsinki, and since 2019 I’ve been working at my own studio in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.
